Delightful Cycling & Panoramic Views

Wels with Ledererturm tower: www.fotoclubwels.org

A flourishing town in Roman times, Wels lies on the left bank of the Traun River and is one of the most important towns in the area. Rich in history, Wels has major sights and attractions and is a perfect base for avid cyclists: Take a ride along the lovely Panorama Cycle Path.

For the explorer in anyone, the 32 kilometers long Panorama Cycle Path is a great opportunity to experience the natural beauty of the environs of Wels. In Krenglbach you are strongly recommended to visit the Schmiding Zoological Gardens. This is a terrific place to commune with the animals outdoors and indoors, in an amazingly realistic representation of a Tropical Forest. Back in the saddle, another highlight beckons.

Bad Schallerbach, lying at the heart of the Hausruck Vitality World, is home to the EurothermalResort: When it comes to splashing & wet fun in the sun, Aquapulco, Austria’s most attractive Water Theme Park, is just the place to come and play! The ride then continues on smooth paved trails through fields and meadows of wildflowers in bloom. In Waizenkirchen, the Panorama Path joins the Aschachtalweg Path that connects Aschach to the Danube or links to the Inn Cycle Path in a western direction.
