Across Mühlviertel Nature Park

Nature Park’s Visitor’s center Großdöllnerhof

For the explorer in anyone, the 48 kilometers long Nature Park Cycle Path is a great opportunity to experience the natural beauty of scenic Mühlviertel.

This loop tour departs from the district’s capital Perg. From there, the ride travels through enchanting Naarntal Valley to Rechberg, lying amidst Mühlviertel Nature Park.

Rolling plains, densely wooded highlands and lush meadows are interspersed with rocks of natural granite. The scenic countryside of Mühlviertel has inspired artists and is deeply shrouded in legend. You’ll find the Nature Park’s Visitor’s center on Großdöllnerhof. This historic farmstead houses a Farmer’s Museum and runs interesting exhibitions on folk medicine, traditional customs, and more.

The journey continues to Bad Zell, to the healing waters of Cella Hedwigsbründl Fountain. From there, the ride takes you northwestwards into Aisttal Valley. The path meanders beside the bubbling brook to Schwertberg and on to Au by the Danube. Here, the loop brings you back to Perg along the Machland Cycle Path.
