The loop ride along the Ibmer Moor Cycle Path takes you Franking on the shores of Holzoestersee Lake into the thousands of years old Ibmer Moorlands Nature Preserve. The versatile fauna and flora of Austria’s biggest wetlands this is best explored by bicycle. The ride continues via Hochburg, Burghausen and St. Radegund along the headwaters of Salzach River. From Trimmelkam it’s a short walk to Franking. And this is where you can try your hand at Farmer’s Golf: The alleys are similar to those of a miniature golf course, yet are made entirely of ancient farming equipment, such as plows, harrows, barrels, kegs, beehives, sleds, and wine presses. The best thing about Farmer’s Golf, however, is the walk from one obstacle to the next. The awesome beauty of the gently rolling moorlands, the friendly people, and the encounters with horses, sheep and cattle might be distracting…
