However, the trip along the Enns Valley Cycle Path has something for culture vultures as well: Visit the Romantic Town of Steyr with its lovely downtown square and stroll around the lanes and squares of Enns, the oldest town in Austria. On your way you’ll pass along the Iron Road that meanders around Kalkalpen National Park and is deeply rooted in history.
On your tour you’ll also pass the iron route and you'll see mighty granaries and ironworks, scythe smithies, knife-making and other iron processing industries. These once thriving trades have left their mark for visitors to explore and enjoy in various museums, theme exhibitions and trails.
