Upper Austria runs a standardized sign posting and way marking system that is the perfect recipe for world-class bicycling adventures.

Posting & Way Marking System In this way marking system each cycle path has its own number displayed on the sign post. Positioned throughout the country, the posts are used with the official trail emblem, identifying logo and trail name decals.

The posts are found along certified segments of all trails in the province:

The green-white signs display
- in green a symbolic cyclist
- the provincial coat of arms
- the Upper Austria logo
- trail name decals
- and the distance to the most important stages

The official trail emblem is supplemented by route posts that display the number of the cycle path, thus ensuring the cyclist is on the right way.
