Ski Region of Dachstein-West
There is more than enough room for both experienced skiers and beginners on the fun slopes of the ski region of Dachstein-West round Gosau, Russbach and Annaberg in the Salzkammergut. So jump into the cool, white snow to greet winter by making a snow angel and then it’s off to fun on the slopes.
Time for Cosiness
Even the most entertaining days on the slopes come to an end in the evenings and then it’s time to return to the cabins. Cosiness is an integral part of a holiday in the Salzkammergut. Personal service at cabins run by the owners themselves accentuates the traditional atmosphere. You will enjoy the aroma of homemade treats and pastries. And then the sun will tickle your nose before it’s off to the next day of fun.
On the Way to Record Times
Would you like to time runs down the slopes to see who is the fastest around? The quest for personal records can begin. The permanent racing slope called Ötscherpark and the Marcel Hirscher slalom slope offer the ideal conditions for up-coming racers. The “Wilde Hilde“, a slope with a 67% grade, also provides for ski experiences of a special kind.
Rock ’n’ Roll on the Mogul Slope
Mogul slopes and mogul-training runs add some spice to winter sports. In the ski region of Dachstein-West, these slopes have names such as “Donnergroll“ (Thunder’s Rancour) and “Rock ’n’ Roll“. And once you get into the rhythm, you will “rock“ down the white slopes, enjoying yourself the whole way down.
The Season’s Open for Snow Crossers
Snow crossers and those guests who want to become one will get their money’s worth on the fun slopes. At the “Kids Cross Ötscherpark“, the “Rookiepark“ and the “Youngsters’ Freestyle Park“, beginners can work on their technique, too. Who doesn’t want to fly over jumps, ride waves and master the bear slalom?
