For more than 500 years, guests have been entertained down the road from the St Wolfgang Pilgrimage Church. The actual "Im Weissen Rössl" inn was established in 1878. The “Weisses Rössl“ became immortal, though, due to the authors Oskar Blumenthal and Gustav Kadelburg, who during their stay wrote the romantic comedy about the loving waiter and the fit lady-publican of the Rössl. In 1930, Ralph Benatzky composed the accompanying music and since then the piece has travelled the world and told about the “Weisses Rössl“ on Lake Wolfgang!
Nowadays, the “Rössl“ receives guests in a romantic and easy-going atmosphere. The highest standards of comfort and service as well as a luxury spa and beauty area fulfil every holiday desire! The 1,500-m2 wellness area offers the first floating whirlpool in the world and a year-round heated lake pool directly in Lake Wolfgang.
