Night over the Hochficht

I have always had a feeling that skis are boards that mean the world, but that feeling was confirmed yesterday. But I’m getting ahead of myself. In the morning, Gerhard and I took to the slopes. The children were busy having fun at the Sunny Kids Park.
Of course, under the supervision of their grandparents, who are always thrilled when they can spend a morning with the kids. After lunch, we sent them on a snowshoe tour through the Bohemian Forest.

So it was family skiing for the four of us in the afternoon. Dinner at the Gasthaus zum Überleben. To be honest, this cosy inn in the heart of the ski region is a real hit. Mühlviertel cuisine and a hot punch next to the fire. And in light of all the exercise, the calories are balanced out – at least I hope so. Anyway, a great way to end the day. But, just a minute, that wasn’t everything. Before we went to bed, we took one more run down an illuminated slope. If Hochficht didn’t exist, somebody would have to invent the atmosphere felt when night skiing. Where are we going today? Let’s see. Everybody’s definitely ready to go, so I’d better get a move on.
