During this workshop we will work on double beam handlooms with various materials in warp and weft.

Construction-wise, we will learn different ways of dividing warp and weft in multiple layers and densities, allowing materials to meet and blend in certain areas of the fabric. From a technical perspective but in an experimental and spontaneous way, we will explore the potential of combining materials with different properties in order to create fabrics with interesting structures and graphic patterns.

Born in 1991; 2014 master’s degree in Textile Design from KASK School of Arts Ghent; since 2015 own design studio for woven textiles, working closely with the textile industry in Belgium and abroad; experimental research in 3D weaving on both level of craft and industry; since 2017 Lecturer woven design at KASK School of Arts Ghent; 2021 Artist in Residence at Textile Centre Haslach.

KURSZEITEN UND KURSABSCHLUSS
Mo, Di, Do von 8:30 – 12:00 und 13:30 – 17:30 Uhr,
Mi, Fr von 8:30 – 12:00 und 13:30 – 16:30 Uhr.
Eine Teilnahmebestätigung wird erst nach Anwesenheit von mindestens 95 % der Kurszeiten ausgestellt.
Jeweils am Freitag findet von 15:30 bis 16:30 ein gemeinsamer Ausklang statt, bei dem die Ergebnisse der Kurse besichtigt werden können.
